DAYO AND NANA (draft)

THIS IS ESPECIALLY FOR SOL sorry dear, have been to busy to use my imagination creatively on this story.

How do you want the story to go? your comments / reviews(negative or positive) are greatly welcomed. Read part 1 here

all typos are mine! enjoy! and remeber its just a draft!

Dayo and Nana where the perfect young urbane couple with the right pedigree, beauty, brains. He from a prominent family in the western part of the country, while Nana was from the oil rich South with a blend of northern ancestry from her mother’s side. He was proud of his achievements as an oil mongul and his pretty minute wife a top investment banker / director in the leading bank in the country. Their marriage was 6 months and going strong but Dayo had doubts, sometimes he felt he was making a mountain out of nothing but the thought kept nudging his mind. Like those pills, he never understood why Nana had to take the pills, for chrissakes they where married so no need for pills and this is Nigeria, children are gifts not that he was keen on having babies immediately, hey ! that would cramp his style maybe a bit but….the first time he realized it he treated it with a shrug only for him to realize that Nana took it religiously and the bottle was never empty. He confronted her and she laughed it aside saying its just for awhile and yet 6 months later he still saw the pills in her wardrobe. Come to think of it, the past years he’s been good at appearing and reappearing he really didn’t no that much about her except from the normal or is it the obvious things that he’s supposed to know. She knew him inside out , in more ways he could imagine than he knew the colours of her underwear. His heart started beating, well maybe there’s no cause for alarm but he’ll never forget what his best man , Nnamdi Offor told him about seeing Simple X at the wedding, Nuhu Abu Malik aka Simple X. Simple X was seen whispering something to Nana. He tried analyzing the connection between X the young billionaire with a questionable source of income and his sweet, docile Nana. None came to mind, maybe investments but to his knowledge Nana was not managing any of X’s portfolio.he thought several times of letting 3rd eye agency chief, Sandy trail her for a week but he thought against it, haba! He still had his own tracks to cover and there was no need alerting or drawing undue suspicions on his wife after all she’s too smart not to notice and that could be a dicy situation. The problem is she’s just too smart and very controlling of her emotions and you never know whats going through her mind unless she tells you , that for sure he knew about her and recently too. But he’s da Don! No woman can fast ass him anywhere in the world! So she better watch out. And he was damn falling helplessly in love with her. Rosa has been complaining that he called her name whenever they got down together. Well she’s his wife so what? What name does she want him to call, his mother? She should get a grip as she knew the rules. Nana and X was all he could think about that morning and the bottles of contraceptive pills. Was there any link somewhere was all he could think of. Well so far he had no cause for alarm because the Nigerian Super Model Efe has been seen in the arms of X for a while now, and where photographers delight in major social events.

She left very early for work that morning; she had series of meetings to cover. He felt her peck deep in slumber as she rushed out the room. He picked up the bottle of pills and kept it in his wardrobe, he had a slow day today, no meetings, his desk was clear, and business was going strong Arly Petcom was one of the largest and best Oil companies in Africa. His father was the CEO and his elder brothers Olu and Mark where Executive Directors while he was the current MD, taking after Mark 2 years before. Soon it would be time to move on and make way for his younger sister Biola.it was a family tradition for each Arlington child to manage all their father’s company and be on the directors before settling on what they like. Father was strict on work ethics and required all his children to work themselves to the bone but Dayo was the only one that got away with lots of things, his father just overlooked him shaking his head. Mark and Olu where the perfect sons, hard working, scandal free, perfect wives and all. At least he married the perfect Arlington wife he chuckled to himself. And definatley Biola is getting married to that cocaine snorting son of the Chairman of XXXX their union had been endorsed since she was in diapers and funny both of them got along very well and thank God his sister had stayed clear of the drug scene and forced Emeka to the rehab in New Jersey. So far he’s been getting positive reviews of Emeka’s recovery. Well he loved his sister and wanted the best for her, and was a strong supporter when the engagement was threatened by substance abuse, she wanted out unless he faced his problems and get help. Anyways that was cleared now and he wished them the best.
